Engine Repair

Your truck’s engine is the heart of the vehicle. When something goes wrong, everything else is affected. That’s why it’s important to catch engine issues early and get them fixed by experienced technicians.

At VNL Truck Repair, we deal with all kinds of engine problems, from oil leaks and misfires to full rebuilds. If your engine is losing power, burning oil, or making strange sounds, don’t wait. Ignoring the warning signs can lead to serious breakdowns and higher costs.

Our team will inspect the engine thoroughly, run diagnostics, and explain exactly what’s wrong. Whether it’s an injector issue, a broken gasket, or a failed turbo, we’ll get you back on the road fast, with long-term fixes, not temporary patches.

Routine maintenance like valve adjustments, replacing filters, and checking coolant levels can also keep your engine running longer and more efficiently. Doing this helps avoid downtime and saves money over time.

Note: We only perform internal engine repairs on Volvo D13 and Cummins engines. While we service other trucks, deep engine tear-downs and rebuilds are limited to these two.

Engine Repair

Diagnostics

We start every engine job with full diagnostics. This helps us pinpoint issues early—saving time and preventing unnecessary repairs.

Rebuilds

If your engine is severely worn or damaged, a full rebuild can restore power and efficiency. We replace key internal parts to bring it back to life.

Turbocharger Repair

Loss of power? It might be the turbo. We test, clean, or replace turbochargers to make sure you get full boost and performance.

Injector Replacement

Worn or clogged injectors reduce fuel efficiency and engine response. We install and program new injectors for smoother performance.

Valve Adjustment

If your valves are out of spec, your engine can misfire or lose power. We adjust valve clearances to spec and ensure smooth operation.

Emergency Repairs

Worn or damaged idler gears can throw off timing and cause serious engine damage. We replace them with high-quality original parts to keep your engine running smoothly.
